A tasty little dinner that also makes great leftovers for lunches.
Beef Marinade Ingredients
700g rump steak- sliced into strips against the grain
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp baking soda
Sauce Ingredients
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/8 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
3/4C water
Rest of dish
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp minced ginger
I onion, sliced
1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp of water
Veggies- I used 2 cups of chopped cabbage, a sliced pepper and some celery
Instructions
Mix all the beef marinade ingredients together and set aside for 30 minutes
Mix sauce ingredients together and set aside
Heat a pan with oil and then fry beef until crispy and cooked. Set aside.
Add some more oil, ginger and garlic to the pan and cook for 2 minutes. Add in remaining veggies and cook until soft. Add in sauce ingredients, beef and cornstarch mix and cook for 2 more minutes.
Serve on its own or with rice.
